The deathbed can either lead someone to mutter some profound stuff… or not. Sometimes they speak with great honesty and what they say may either make sense or not. Some are bravely defiant at the time, others have weird demands while others go on silently. We all hope that when that time comes, we will matter something symbolic or poignant but as history has shown, this does not always happen. Here is a list of alleged last words mattered by 10 famous people.

Before embarking, he’d looked at his sister Patty, then for a long time at his children, then at his life’s partner, Laurene, and then over their shoulders past them.

“Steve’s final words were: ‘Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow.'” (source)
