6 Khalid bin Mohsen Shaari was found to be the heaviest living person in 2013. He lost a whopping 1,195 lbs to get to 150 lbs as of now, making him the person to lose the most weight.
In 2013, Khalid Bin Mohsen Shaari had to be airlifted to the hospital – but fast forward four years and the story has completely changed. Khalid weighed 1,345 pounds when he had to be carried by air to the hospital. Since then, his doctor had confirmed that he had lost 700 pounds through medical procedures, diet, and rehabilitation.
It was during his late teens that Khalid put on the most weight. He did not leave his bed for three years. It was only after the Saudi King Abdullah intervened that Khalid was taken to the hospital. The king financed his treatment. Six months after the treatment, Khalid was able to sit upright and move around in a customized wheelchair. He had lost 710 lbs, almost half his body weight, in just six months!
In 2016, the 17-year-old walked for the first time in his teen life. In November 2017, there was a report by Al Arabiya that Khalid had lost 1,195 lbs and currently weighs 150 lbs. (1, 2)

When the XXL shirts and the 44-inch pants didn’t fit, Jamie Hathcock climbed onto the scales to measure his weight. He says, “That’s when it really sank in.
